Graduated from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 1998, with clinical service in Ministry of Health Malaysia hospitals across the Klang Valley and Perak, as well as University Hospital. Currently serves as Head of the Managed Care Organisation (MCO) and Private Hospitals Fee Sector under the Medical Practice Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia, overseeing Fee Schedules and its related matters under the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998 (Act 586), matters involving insurers and MCOs and medical practitioners. Completed specialised training in Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Codes with the American Medical Association (Chicago, 2019) and Professional Medical Procedure Coding with the American Health Information Management Association (Chicago, 2024). Frequently delivers talks and seminars on medical fee schedules to private and MOH hospitals, insurance industry and medical societies. Also serves as a MOH representative of the Appeal Board for health withdrawals at the Employees Provident Fund (Malaysia), Medical Appeal Committee of Socso Board and as Advisor/Observer to the Grievance Mechanism Committee of the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia.
